Hi there,
had my car bout 8 months and has now done 50,000 miles, checked thru the service history and the timing belt has never been changed, im guessing i should do this asap? How much should this cost me??
I was going to put my car thru a service soon anyway.. what else should i ask to be changed in my service after this mileage??
Thanks
Mike

A belt and roller kits is about 70-100 then about £60 labour I would have thought.
On the other hand a haynes manual is £15.

Vauxhall quoted me £95 to fit a new timing belt on my 94 8v Sri. But they said that there could be further costs once they get the old belt off and find any further problems.

For 8v engine - 1 hour job, pretty simple reading the manual. Only needs big breaker bar and a friend on the brakes.
