Actually, there was a thing about this in a photographic magazine. You dont have to ask permission to take someones photograph but its courtesy to do so. They dont think that it would be an enforcable law due to the sheer weight it carries - i.e. a press photographer taking a street scene shouldnt have to ask everyone in the scene for permission to reproduce an image containing them. BUT - You can ask to be blurred out of moving footage, im not sure why.

Its all complete crap. There is no way he can prove that the woman in that picture is his girlfriend/daughter etc. As said, it is Ben's photograph and he can do as he wishes with it really. so, if i was to go through random peoples garages and ask that all arse photos are removed due to the fact they may be of my gf, what would happen then?

I think Si is right but it would come down to this Oztec bloke proving without reasonable doubt that it is his girlfriend... and that the picture was taken for dubious reasons etc
