Hoping to go on holiday to Florida within the next few weeks just for a week break,

just wondering if anyone can tell me the rules on renting a car etc

is it 21?

25 I think for most companies

21 if you find a dodgier small one

its an arse aint it!!

Orlando is soo big i dont really want to use bus shuttles to get everywhere,

the parks are spread out so much etc

and they can learn to drive at like 14 over there so you would think it would be less then that

avis rent a car is 23 places like hertz and europecar are the same.might have a local firm that will do you one though

23 in the states for renting a car. And that will be all companies. I dont think its a law, but its as close to. Some even go 25, especially for expensive/powerful cars.

When I went wi ex, I had to be 21 to drive a rented car, but dont know whether this was cause I was going to be a 'named driver' i.e. not the main one.

Definately was 21 tho, that was hertz

normally 21 in the usa, in all states but new york where you can be 19.

You will be charged more for being under 25

most companies as I am 22 and am going in september charge you maxiuium insurance plus an extra $20+ a day if you are under 21

i was 21 when i went to corfu a hired a car. America might be 25 though
