just so you know, the bonnet's kicked up on purpose to make room for the turbo...
also of interest is the one inch suspension travel all round, there was more movement in tyres than suspension would give you bruised ribs and rip up tarmac goin round corners before it'd let go

thought it was for cooling like rst owners do, what power is it running ?

was for cooling too, but the work he did to the firewall meant the bonnet cocked up. Last time he had it dyno'd was around 130-140, thats on 1293 turbo intercooled, head work etc etc
Sadly it's no longer with us, he had to sell it to come to uni, a guy in the US offered him 8k for it

Yes, that is an XE, Yes those are Throttle Bodies, And Yes that is a Turbo .

I remember when my mate first put the adjustable boost valve in, turned it the wrong way to begin with and ran seriously silly boost, detonation was an understatement He went thru three g'boxes and a couple of melted pistons at different points too

Any pointers for fitting the C20XE into a Mk2 Escort? The Mini seems like a nice idea, but if the engine doesn't go into the Corsa it's going into the 'scort instead.
