The brakes are shite on my 96 merit even though i have fitted new discs and pads , is it poss to fit the calipers off a 1.4i so i vented discs without too much hassle ?

really appreciate all the help by the way

have u tried bleeding your brakes mate??? and do u have abs??

it aint got abs and i have bled the system twice already , what is involved in doin the gsi conversion ?

ok thanks , was thinkin bigger discs myself as i have fitted a set of 15's to it , looks like a trip down the local scrappy i think

u'll need the calipers and the discs other than that its a straight swap and they are bigger n thicker than the standard 1.2 ones

get some off a Mk3 Astra GSi. 256mm discs and loads bigger calipers than what you have now, also its a straight swap.

or get the V6 284mm upgrade for about 70 quid more.

i have these on my 1.2 94 merit..... top job!
