can anyone tell me if i buy some alloys 17"x7.5 would i have 2 do things 2 my arches as i phoned a place to purchase some and they said as been as they r 17.5 width i would have 2 have some arch work done is this true?as i have only just had my car sprayed thanx

yeh, 7.5 width will not fit a standard arch

dought it, BUT its gonna be major scrubbage, ya need to cut the metal arch under the plastic arch up to the line of bolt holes, paint the bare metal to seal it, maybe tap it out a mm or 2 not too much or the plastic arch wont go back on flush, then BOND the plastic arches back on,if ya do this ya might be ok
If ya slap the rims on with no arch work i dont even think it will be drivable, get a ET45 too otherwise ya rim will catch the shock

7.5 WILL fit with normal arches as long as it is the correct offset.
My car is lowered 60mm with 17" 7.5 and it still doesnt scrub with people in the back.

i really really dont think its possible, i got 7 inch wide wheels, there is 3mm clearance between inner wheen and shock and about 3mm between arch and outer wheel thats 6mm clearance, not .5 inch

Well i am running on 7.5 with an offset of 48 and i do not get any scrubbing atall.
If you dont believe me ask corsa_godfather.
