im plannin on havin 2 10w3v2 D2 subs.
i know i can run both off a monoblock amp at 2ohms but will i be able to run them off a 2channel amp at 2ohms as well then? is that possible!!

what resistance are the subs, and are they single or dual voice coil?

it should be possible, depending if the subs are wired in parallel or series. What is the power of the subs @ what resistance, and the same for the amp?

these are the specs i found of the JL 10w3v2 d2:
Nominal Diameter: 10 inches (250 mm)
Continuous Power Handling: 300 Watts
Voice Coil: 2.25" diameter, 4-layer, Kapton former
Available Configurations: Dual 2 ohm
Xmax (one-way, linear): 0.51"-0.58" (13.0-14.7 mm) depending on specific model
Sealed Enclosure Range: 0.60-0.90 cu.ft. (17.0-25.5 liters)
Ported Enclosure Range: 1.00-1.50 cu.ft. (28.3-42.0 liters)
VRC™ Technology: YES
Elevated Frame Technology: YES

iv not got any specific amp in mind at the momoent, just looking at alpine or phoenix gold amps but wanted to know if i can run em off a monoblock, can i run them both off a 2 channel amp then in parrallel etc?

ok mate, they are Dual 2 ohm subs

running both off one amp

Monoblock options:
0.5 ohm stable amp (fairly rare!!)
2 ohm stable amp

2 channel options:

each channel 1 Ohm stable
each channel 4 Ohm stable
channels bridged and being half ohm stable (i doubt you'll find one of these!)
channels bridged and being 2 ohm stable

4 channel options:

bridge two sets of two channels, giving you effectively two channels, these need to be either 1 ohm or 4 ohm stable

They are all your realistic options mate
