the other day i dropped a laptop down the stairs and smashed the screen, if i was to claim on the house insurance what would happen, as the laptop cost about 800quid 3-4 years ago, and is no longer made??

if it is covered you will recieved a compartive model plus you'll pay whatever the standard excess is.

depends if you have accidental damage you pay excess (normally £50) they give you a new model. but then again it depends who you're insured with. most places do new for old but not everyone

LOL boy in work last night told me hes gonna drop his £1200 laptop down the stairs before long cause there is so many viruses on it, and claim on the house insurance
