I was driving to work today and everything was fine, anyway all of a sudden "judder jolk, judder, jolk" and then engine management light comes on anyway i think hmmm strange... Then it does it again !

I then took it easy come to a little junction and it stalled / light came on, i was like hmmmmmmm

Anyway after that it was fine, then worried all day at work about if i was going to make it home and it was fine !

Any ideas ?

it logs the codes that have come up, so you will be able to find out what the problem was, and clear the codes when the problem is fixed. Im lucky cos i got a mate in a garage so i just borrow their stuff all the time, but vaux charge £50. (The guy that did mine the first time was really sound though, only a couple of years older than me and had done some nova XE conversions, so he didnt charge )

Sounds a bit like when my inlet pipe came a bit lose and was leaking air before the AFM... so the engine wasn't measuring the right amount of air being sucked in and thus cutting my fuel... then it must of sucked the pipe back on a bit as it drove alright... then finally the pipe completely came off after going on some bumpy roads and the engine died on me... (E-M light on etc)

but my engine is a Dizzyless system with AFM and gay... so that'd of been why

paul, you mean after the afm?
it wouldn't matter if it leaked before it. apart from it being dirty
