the 1.5td manifold has that strange passage through the manifold and then to the turbo. with the 1.5d you have to stick for example a conical filter in the mouth of the turbo and then take it from the right side of the turbo to the left right to enter the 1.5d intake manifold which is much bigger and better than the 1.5td

pointless on the 306, its only cos for some reason isuzu desided to run the td inlet through the top of the inlet manifold as it made the engine quieter.

it does on most cars, its just isuzu decided to go an arse about foot way when they designed it in the first place. only reason he has done it is so that it doesnt look as messy with turbo hoses going all over the place.

so lets say i get an exhaust manifold that i can bolt a turbo onto... get all the pipe work and intercooler done as far as the trottle body.... can i just connect it to the trottle body and it will work? or do i need a special type of intake?

forget about the engine internals for the moment.

be aware, by doing this you may have to change your camshaft to one the "eats" moer air due to the huge amount of air that is going to be pushed inside the manifold, as it has the double capacity of air of the 1.5TD manifold
