just go to counter-strike.net and download the steam app and let it run overnight, problem solved

all you then need is a half-life key (i believe) but ive never yet to enter one so

dunno....but when i installed steam i had the old 1.5 version which you needed a key. So maybe when created an account, it got the key from the old version

eitherway, didnt you say you used to have it? if so hunt out the box for the key. If not you will have to buy a key from somewhere or the box set. But tbh, i cant see a "buy key" bit on the counter-strike website

When you install Steam, you can install HL and CS without a CD, you just need a valid key and it downloads the lot.

The key will be on the back of the CD case or on the bottom right corner on the front of the instructions.

i used to play counter-strike all the time. my gcse's and A levels suffered for it because i'd play it instead of studying. I do miss the original wireplay days when the UK community was really small.

I ain't played for months now, but when i do play its so easy to pick up again. but there are so many muppets now, it really bugs me
