Right got £100 to spend on a digital camera. Any recommendations on which model to go for? Preferably would like to get it from currys, comet, dixons, pc world - so i can get it later today rahter than wait on delivery - and i dont think they're much cheaper online anyway

had one of those - well cheaper version anyway and would prefer something more mainstream - found it had too many niggles.

Fuji Q1 is meant to be the best for under £100 according to Stuff Magazine...

BUT, out of the one's you listed, i would personally go for the Casio, it's compact, and loads up in a split second, and the pictures are darn good.
Don't get a kodak, they're easy to use, but feel really tacky.
The nikon is pretty good too

rite those links have stopped working. I'm quite fancying a Nikon Coolpix 2200. Its £89. 2m pixels. 3x optical zoom. 4x digital zoom. Looks quite nice as well.

best thing to do with cameras mate is go somewhere.
i went to jesops when i wanted one, and he asked me exactly what i wanted it for, and told me what all the spec stuff means and also let me take some photos and look at the detail ect on them. was there foe like 1.5hours. was a top bloke all in all.
i went to PC world and they let you handle them, with no batteries ect. was shite

3.2 will do you A4 prints, 2m is designed for 6*4 normal photo kinda size.
I work @ Currys, but i'm a shit salesman, i would recommend the Casio or Nikon, like i said before, the Casio is small, Deck of cards kinda size, and 4m so it's a decent quality, but the Nikons are more reknowned for their camera's.

Fuji A203. Round bout £100ish. Great camea. 2 mega pixles. Nice and small. Looks good. Easy to use.
Check out ur local photographic shops for ex-demo or refurbed models...u'll save 20+% on them, but are as new.
I worked in a photoshop for 3 years, and we only ever had 2 come back for repairs, compared to about 60 for fancy stuff like the IXUS etc

Just thought i'd show you the quality of pics you can take with this budget camera. I'm pretty imprssed, as long as you've got a steady hand or a tripod your fine.
