right, a rev limiter stops the engine from revving high thus stopping damage right?

so, a chipped car has a higher rev limit that it can go to but its still stopping it revving it too high so saving it from damage.

so a std car could safely rev to its limit and it wont do any damage? because its restricted to a very safe limit. am i right?

ah good just making sure that screwing the utter crap out of my mondeo wont kill it prematurly

just serviced it now so i aint gonna do it till its fully warm as oil aint cheap

only thing being - on a standard car, once ya get near the limitter, u are loosing power, so its better to change gear, whereas a modded car is still producing power

if that makes sense

yes drew that makes sense i know you should change before the limiter. for speed.

but i was on a field the other day the back wheels were locked for some reason and i was going sideways
