im gunna get my wheels refurbed like this..



but i may give it ago myself..

what would i do..

just sand down the area needing painting?

then what primer would i need?

i wanna leave the outer rim as it is and just paint the spokes gloss black..

i wouldnt recommend doing it urself mate unless you are highly skilled in this area, better off paying a professional company, shouldnt cost too much either...

I started sanding my spare set down and it was taking forever......got 1 amost perfect ready to laquer then got bored and put them back in the shed!

the rims wouldnt be chromed.

they well be as they are.

just with black spokes. but ill paint the centre caps just silver and take the Mille Migle badge off so people go.. 'ooooo'

Get it done by a pro because you wouldn't just paint the spokes black..... You would rub the whole wheel down, paint the spokes in black basecoat and mask off the edge, then you would lacquer the whole wheel

i may aswell try myself and if i cant do it ill just get a pro to do it.

either way ill end up getting it do by a pro unless it looks good wen i do it.

You wont get the shine you want with lacquer from cans tho

think you would get a better quality finish if you got the rims sand or bead blasted also cause of the detail on the rims, although no easy to find places that do thi

when i had the wheels i wanted a polished rim

the place that did them polished the rim but fucked the job up going too far nto the paint on parts of it and then hits some of the spokes, its a tricky job with those wheels, but i guess painting them black should help!

the wheels ahave a fairly matt finish anyway
