because the older models of c's didnt have the boot lock painted i wanna get mine painted..

how to fook to you get em off?

take off the plastic on the back of the tailgate

its all under there

2 8mm nuts and pull it off.you can get them ready primed for £6 from vauxhall just ask for a facelift one

right take the big plaggy cover off the boot.then look near the rear wiper and there are 2 8mm nuts undo these and then it just pulls off.it's bonded on aswell so just give it a tug

yuo'll need a torque's screw driver. i took mine off and got it painted. there are 2 torque's screw hold the wiper motor on, once removed, unplug the wiper motor and pull it out. then just wiggle your boot cover (and hips) til it pops off.

Make sure u hold or tape the lock mechanism up, cos once you take the nuts off, it will drop out:





As chewy says - it has a couple of sticky pads between the handle and the bootlid, so it takes a bit of pulling to get it off. You get a couple of new pads with the replacement handle (if you buy the ready-primed one).
