Do you get this much, you go to overtake a car and the driver is having none of it regardless of wether he is doing 40 in a 60 and he floors his car, making it difficult and dangerous for you to get past?

culprits i have found are definately 3 series drivers, vectra drivers, most mercs. A vectra did this to me the other day, i managed to get past but had to pull in sharp in front of him just before a blind bend! If he hadnt have put his foot down it would have been a textbook safe overtake.

fcuking tosser p1ssed me off, i was close to ripping doors of and hurting him but had amanda with me. Dont like it when people fcuk with my life like that, i cant think off anything more dangerous!!

I don't know whether someone did this to me the other day when I was out in the Corsa but I just tucked it in for the next corner anyway, I assume he took evasive action

I just think is one of the dumbest and dodgyest things u can do on the road.

Was going down a narrow B road the other day when this shitty j reg mk 3 astra comes up sitting on my rear bumper. The road is really narrow, i didnt think he was going to try and go past but the fcuking idiot did! mud flying everywhere as he clipped the bank on the right hand side, as he went past i saw his twin dtm back box, and clear rear clusters. done by a 1.4 ls astra but i wasnt going to put my foot down and make things worse.

That just shows inexperience. Anyone whose been driving more than 5 minutes will hang back and accelerate towards the back of the car before popping out, especially if they have an 80 brake Astra.

@ Ian thinking about the racing line

I don't do it unless:

a. it's sum prick who I dislike
b. sum1 who thinks they're 'beating me in a race' when they're half way past me before I noticed them
c. it's an ugly woman

thing that worries me is people driving sh1tty barges thinking that they are in a hot hatch. They dont have the breaks or the handling of a hot hatch, Everytime i drive something like a standard escort etc i drive like a granny because im scared at how sh1te they are.

I do it to people if they think its OK to be 1 foot from my bumper when i'm doin the speed limit. If i'm cruising below the speed limit, then fair enuff, coz i would do the same.

The derv lump makes it a piece of piss to do, coz u havent even gotta shift down. Maximum torque at 2200rpm suprizes quite a few "more powerful" motors.

People done this to me in the past, i remember a seat arosa 1.4 done it to me and the stupid bitch was laughing. I still dont understand why because i didnt go down a gear to fly past her, i just wanted to cruise past her. I am getting the view that cos i drive a modified car that i would rag my car to bits to get past which is soooo not the way to go.

However, not many people will be doing this to me soon when i get my CTR which shud be around next week possibly. V-TEC all the way
