im thinking of going with RAC? any opinions or advice please???

what are the catches or small prints?? e.g is their limit to amount of call outs? will it cover ANY car?

BUT...most importantly will it cover a modified car?? e.g lowered, alloys, zorst, engine tuned etc ??

yes they will cover you

i called them out once to be towed home after a smack, car was lowered 60mm on 15's (more like 70mm tho as had settled), and they arranged for a low-loader to pick me up. the bloke opn the low loader said he usually comes out to ferrari's & other sports cars as there so low they wopn't go on regular loaders/towers.

Yeah course they will, don't see any reason why they shouldn't. If your parents have it, try getting a family policy, works out cheaper. Only problem i've had with is being winched on and off the towtruck *scraaaaape!*

Me my dad sister and mum all pay £50 a year, get free call outs all year and towed back to wherever you need to go, however times you need em.

Ive used em 3 times already for locking myself out my car this year

Used em 4 times last year, if you need transporting home, make sure you ask for a lowrider...

In my eyes £50 a year isn't free cover

Modded cars aren't a problem. But if its so long it wont go on its your fault really for having a stupidly low car, ie one that wont go over speed bumps and things anyway....

I'm sure the AA and RAC both have limited call outs (6?)

I thought the RAC gave the best deal at the best price when I was looking at them. Paid £103 I think for RAC solution 1, roadside and recovery for me and the misses.
