Longer wheel bolts from

I am using wheel spacers and dont get enough turns with the original bolts.....need something longer, its for a BMW of this helps

Went to the local Alloy place but they were as useless as ever

halfords can order longer bolts in, according to one of my supervisors anyway. Not sure who we order from but you get a full kit of wheel spacers and longer bolts. You have to supply the offset of the alloys, the offset u want to achieve from the spacers an i think thats about it. No idea how much they are cos i've never had to order any in

You will just have to try more alloy places, my mate runs the e36coupe.com site and he's got longer bolts cos he needed spacers when he did his big brake conversion, he just got them from his local alloy place, said they are 42mm long ones.

He says you need 40mm of thread. He also said that when the bolt is on and hand-tightened, you need to be able to turn the wheelbrace 5 times or else it's not long enough. Also, you may need to remove the splashguard around the hub...

I have 25mm of thread just now, 5/6mm spacers and Vauxhall alloys

wont 40mm be too much? thats almost double!

Dunno, his spacers are 13mm like. He says you may be able to get a 35mm bolt.
