It makes it quicker to 60 because you only need one gearchange. []
i'd give ya arun in my SRi matey

the manifold comes with chip upgrade included in the price
but SRi-co unless your car is pretty much on a level with a 1.6 sport then my sxi might just whip your ass.

Yeah, I'd like to see that, pmsl, standard 1.4 8v is reasonable, but mess with the intake and a backbox and I have another 10 bhp than standard - rr proved I'd like to see you "whip my ass"

You can all GTF!!!
I HAVE A CORSA B... 81 bhp and that was 'running rough' apparently....
mine's deffo 75 bhp standard 1.2 16v and a corsa B, and 1.2 8v's are v.slow in comparison...
In fact I keep up with most 1.4 16v corsa's quite well... ask anyone like adisri, antz, dave17, etc... I'm not saying I'm quicker - but I can keep v.close.
Also what agent blue is talking about, a guy on here called Blackula got that same inlet + chip for his 1.2 16v and had 105 bhp with a standard exhaust on the rolling road...
75-105 aint bad...
The reason the gains are big (and the cost)
is because it's not only the inlet, but a replacement lower and upper manifold ... Also it includes chip remapping / dastek chip (that alone is worth £400)
A velo's or whatever for a 1.4 is only about £300 but that's only the upper part of the manifold and does not include a chip... hence for the 1.4 it only gains about 15 bhp
where as this thing agent blue has and blackula gains about 30 bhp...
If you replaced both upper and lower parts of the inlet manifold + had a mapped unichip on the 1.4 16v you'd get 30+ bhp... gains...
So I don't see why this is so unbelievable?
I feel because of the 1.2 8v's absolutely shitness it makes everyone think 1.2's (16v too) are the slowest things around... Regardless of the fact they're only 200cc less than a 1.4 and only 15 bhp less standard.

what would be the bhp on an Corsa C 1.2 sxi 16v with a pvd bfo induction kit and a pvd bfo s/s cat-back exhaust system? I know it won't be much more than standard, just curious.

Im not sayin mine is quicker than a 1.4 but my 1.2 16v isnt THAT far off a 1.4. They only really start pullin away around 80+ and my mate has a 1.6 16v SXi Astra and I can keep with that but thats probably cos he has 17s on it! but ye the 16vs are pretty quick for a 1.2

If you lot are that bothered then why not do a rwyb day at the pod, 1.2 vs 1.4? The problem with a 1.2 is the amount needed to make it that quick, I know someone on VxlSCC with a 1.2 16v C that claims to have had his/her corsa rr'ed at 144bhp, you may have 200, if you havent got the torque to back it up and let alone in the right place it wont make a car quick!
When a 16v gets to it peak torque a 8v has peaked and still pushing, this is why you could have a 1.4 8v with 80bhp and a 1.4 16v with 90bhp, doesnt mean the 16v will win, I proved that to a pissed off 16v owner
Where is a 1.2's peak power and torque with approx 100bhp just out of interest?
