Yea rag worm is the best to use,
Put the hook down the worms mouth and thread it down its body about half way (or to the eye of the hook) and then pull the barb threw the worms body.
This will leave some of the worm hanging off and give the best presentation to the fish in the water,
When im sea fishing i often go to a local fishing shop and buy a few ready made rigs,
they will prob have 2-3 hooks on,
All you have to do is chuck a lead on and cast out,

depends what u wanna catch, big stuck use quarter cut mackrel or shimmer baits like still water roach, gudgeon etc

may need to go out a bit further for Mackrel , they can be caught but not this time of the year as waters are to warm.
