hello people. for some reason when my steering lock clicks on, it stops the ignition barrel moving. i go to put the key in, and its locked totally solid - only managed to get it free tonight by gettin 2 of my mates to push the car along while i tried to get the steering lock off. anyone had this problem before? and anyone know what i could do to solve it? replace steering lock or something?

Turn the wheel sideways and then turn the ingition N0ob.

geez - i know how to take a steering lock of :/ :/ what iam saying is that turning the wheel doesnt do anything - my ignition is still stuck solid

and iam turning it as far as it will go each way but the key is just stuck totally solid

maybee the ignition barrel is/has gone
you may need a new one
ive heard of corsa c's barrels packing up
not heard any b's going but u never know
maybee the key is worn? and isnt fitting right

just dug out the old key which has sorted it..its still stiff though so iam presuming a worn key/barrel. oh well, thanks anyway

yeah get a new barrel made up
from vaux they can get one that fits all your keys they take a number off it and make one up i think
