The handling doesnt bother me that much, I mean corsa's are always shit at handling. I just find that with mine, its not comfy, I like a smooth ride, and the corsa isnt, but that my opinion.
Fun wise, , you cant get a better feeling when u see people's shocked faces as they see a rapid corsa

The handling isnt that bad a good set up will sort any problems out, like andy says there old engines but there hundreds out there so just take your time and look out for one with reasonable mileage and if your lucky service history. I thought that fuel consumption would be really bad but if you drive normal you will see 35+ mpg. Also if anything does go wrong with the engine then dont worry bout it as theres thousands of spares out there to fix any problems. The biggest plus point is the look on peoples faces when people in more powerful cars like UK scoobies, R32 golfs cant get passed what they think is a 1.6 or lower corsa.
Also if you want to upgrade to the LET then all you need is the engine, intercooler, loom and other bits and pieces a the fitting kit, hubs and driveshafts you will already have.
The main thing to find out before you go anywhere near the car is insurance as its pretty expensive and is increasingly hard to get

ive had my conversion in for almost a year now, still love driving it especially on motorways peoples' faces could tell probably 3 words (what the fcuk!!).
as big eck says their's hundreds of engines and thousands of spare parts available.
ive just had a problem with my o2 sensor, which ive fixed (so it seems anyway).
good thing with the engine is if it notices a fault it will let you know at the earliest stage and then do everything in its power to stop you ruining the mechanical inners.
definately worth it m8

my 2.0 on coilovers handles 10x better than the 1.4 did on springs. And theres nothing that can beat seeing the face of someone who was beaten in a corsa when they were sure tey were going to win! Mine's broken down a couple of times, so i would say to check all the little things like tight hoses etc when you get it done, but i dedinately dont regret doing it.
