just getting everything sorted to drop 1.6 into my 1.4 16v sport. so basically apart from the obvious (engine, gearbox, ecu, loom, driveshafts, brakes) is there anything else ill need to put in ? im guessing my 1.4 engine mounts will be ok?

is see yours thanks mate, but you went from 8v to 16valve im putting a X16XE into and X14XE 1996 sport so is it basically a straight swap of engine ecu loom etc or will i have to 'mod' anything to get it to fit??

should go straight in.
you'll just need the engine, loom, and ecu.
gearbox, shafts etc. will all be the same

Id say all you need to change is your ECU and engine but the cylinder head can be used if its a good one from the 1.4 16v

depending on x16xe or c16xe you may need throttle cable and brake servo hose!
