is the 6x zoom adequate? i have 3x atm and find it near on useless

Yeah its great as you can see i got some good shots of the wildlife in my Dads garden. You can buy a good additional lens for good close ups for around £50.

Also has a good feature where you can take numerous pics at once like pro photographers do, keep ya finger on the button and reel off 20 or 30 pics, good for takin pics of ya missus

tis an alright camera zoom is great and you can play about with aperture and shutter speeds but it's not digital SLR. when my dad said he would half in with me for the 300D he suggested a couple of these types but they are not the same. the SLR gives me so much more functions and playing about with stuff.
