I'm not shoer yet if I want to but I was think once I get my new CORSA C 1.2 (all I can afford ATM) how much it would cost to place a 2 litre engine in the car, I know its possible as this months REDLINE mag has a 2 litre Astra Turbo...
I just would like to know how much it will cost as I'm getting the CORSA C 1.2 for about 4000 and as 1.6 and 1.8 are still going for 7000 to 8000 I don't mind paying 3000 for the 2.0

???
so it will be cheaper than 3K?
and whats wrong with a Corsa C
I already have a Corsa B ATM and well I wont something with air-con and power-steering, and well more modern, its a sham that Vauxhall don't do a 2.0 already
I think I go down to POWER ENGINING as i live just down the road from them...

Buy a Corsa with a bigger diesel engine in it.
And,
You can buy Corsa C fitting kits to fit a Z20XEV in, so im pretty sure you could fit the engine for less than £3k...

Engine change in a C is more expensive - there's less known about it, less parts off the shelf and less engines of comparable age and condition to the car.
You could put a 1990 engine in a 2001 car if you want but don't try selling it!

so keep the 1.2 for a year or so and save up for a newer 1.8 SXI or would be better option then...

yeah in a year or so transplants will be far cheaper for a corsa C too so 2.0 may be on the cards then
New corsa comes out (provisionally) in 2006, again rumours of a z16let being one of the engines but wouldnt hold u breath for that!
