This forum is based on software that is readily available but installing it, starting it up, keeping it alive and adding new features is quite complicated. Its not impossible but be prepared to spend a load of time on it.

CS is based on XMB - xmbforum.com

Also check Invision Power Board and phpBB.

You'll also need proper web hosting, check each board for the requirements.

phpBB is a decent enough forum for both general user usage and administering. Piece of piss to install as well - takes a matter of minutes.

phpBB is also in security focus each week with another update for some vulnerbility they missed.
