i was having a few probs getting my xe started in the corsa firstly with the wiring then with the engine it was turning over but not starting beardy told me to check the crankshaft position sensor i did saw the wires were abit shabby sorted that out and the engine shot into life . big thanks again and have a few beers on me mate. if anyone needs help with corsa conversions beardy is the man to talk to

Does the wire for the crankshaft position sensor comput out of the bottom of the block on the front (exhaust manifold side) on the timing belt side? I accidently ripped that wire out of the plastic plug

its like a small round senor with a 10mm bolt on it

Think thats the wire I broke then, have to get a new one cos I don't think I can repair it...

its a sealed unit and twin skin wire, then engine will not fire without it

yeh its the one on the front i have got a spare one went down the scrappy and got a few, if there is a scrappy near you they also come on the 2.0 8v engine and the 1.8 8v engine out of cavs and calibras or astra gtes and there are usually loads of them down the scrappy
