dc10 is the civillian version "tristar" is the military name given to the aircraft which in fact some have a extending boom from the centre and others have extending "cone" things that come from pods on the wings similair to whats on VC10s, theres too much bitchin on this site and dont diss us for what were interested in, cos we dont take the piss that ur into ur corsa, as we all are into our corsas or else we wouldnt be on this site now would we

sorry to say it, but you are indupiously wrong. A DC10 is made by the company McDonnell Douglas and was built around the same time as the Tristar, which was made by Lockheed. Now, MD was swallowed up by Boeing, and Lockheed only build military aircraft. The Lockheed Tristar only flies as a military aircraft with the Royal Air Force, with the exception of a few middle-eastern countries using them as royal transports. The RAF call them the KC1, K1, C2 and C2A. The KC1 and K1 are of the tanker variety, with a few modifications differing from both. the C2 and C2A are still in their original airline configurations of around 260seats. The DC10 does not operate in any role like this around the world.
