will be trading in my 12v for a sport, but thats still not good enough, options are:
1.6 sport - put sdb 164 tapered throttle boddies on.
1.4 sport/sxi something with electrics and the like - valver
same as above - LET
dunno, what do other people think, taking into account insurance ect

LET or a valver depending on your prefferences and budget

valver would be good power, LET would be more but loads on insurance. to get the most power for my money i think LET is worth it, but insurance would prob rape me. i duuno

Its not as bad as you think mate.
Alot of hype behind it from ppl who dont know n e thing about it
My ins @ 21 with 4yrs NCB Is £1500 FC with HIC (on an LET)
Adrian flux quoted me when i was 20 with 3yrs NCB £2k. Which considering i was under 21 is not bad!
Aint rung flux yet to get 2nd wuote as i dont wanna jinx this engine im in dealings with!
Get the LET!

Get a 2.0 16v and build it up to a fast road spec using throttle bodies, cams, verniers, bigger injectors e.t.c... N/A all the way!

ill be 21 in september with 3 years NCB (touch wood) so it mite not be that bad after all.
how much did you pay for the conversion?

not sure on costs, rung SDB, they will do 164 TB's fitted with uprated APR's and something else, i forget what for £2.5 k, xe is £1.5k. not sure on the price of LET conversion.
