On occasion it can be worthwhile taking finance on a car but in the majority of cases its just not wise.
i.e. 0% finance should always be taken, even if you can afford to pay cash. Leave it in the bank, save 4.5% on the cost of the car.
In fact, anything less than the rate of interest offered on a savings account is worth taking.
Also, cars with no depreciation, desirable cars etc can be safe bets. 911 GT3 RS for example, take out finance, drive it for 6 months then sell it on at a list premium to cover the finance.

nuthin now..
But wouldn't think twice about taking a loan out again for a car..
Not a mugs game imho opinion..Not many ppl can afford to go out and pay x amounts of thousands for a car..and pay it all off..
Nuthin wrong with loans....as long as your sensible and get a no bad deal..
How the world go's round for the majority of ppl...
better with a good rate loan than finance at a high rate...

How is getting a loan a mugs game? FFS im never going to be able to save cash for a car.... I got a loan for my first 106... paid it off when I sold it... and got another for the 2nd 106.. which im paying 120 a month back over 3 years... no doubt next time will be a bigger loan for a better car...
Never going to have a decent car without some form of debt
