WTF? So you can't even stick songs on it without buying an extra bit? Can you not just put the on with the standard USB cable?

i sell ipods, the mini ipod is the smallest, both is size and capacity (4gb).
All models mini,20,40 come with charger and software and firewire/usb2 cable.
The dock does make all things simpler though, charger and uploading tracks.
The 3g Ipod came with dock though (this is the non-click one). Better value for money at about £200-£220 (20gb).
With the 4g Ipod (click wheel) Apple have taken away the in cord remote, case and cradle and reduced the price to £219. The big improvement is the increased battery life.

Just a note, the Police warn that you should buy plain looking headphones as thieves recognise the white ones as being from an i-pod and may try and mug you, just a tip

eh - for someone that sells them that pretty poor advice. All the dock does is provide a pretty bit of plastic to sit the ipod in while you are syncing / charging it (that along with a line out if you want to use it with a stereo). Without the dock you just plug the cable into the base of the iPod and place the ipod on the desk/computer/floor...etc
It cetainly does not make it any simpler.
