My laptop stopped working - kept saying operating system not found. So i bought a new hard drive - tried fitting it in and it doesn't seem to clip into place like the old one did. Had a look at the connections on the end of them and they look different to me. However I'm not sure if they are actually different or just the same connections but one with a plastic surround. Included 2 pics to help. Is there more than one type of laptop hard drive connection or what? Cheers.

take the black plastic bit off the drive which is on top & fit it to the one which is on the bottom.
it should just pul of, all it is is an adaptor
