are we talking about a general usb type thing to carry files round, or a memory stick for a digital camera?
if its for a digital camera i've always used compact flash for some reason, seems to work and the media is cheap.

sometimes dabs have offers on...
tbh there all as good as each other, its mainly just cosmetic differences.
I've got a 32mb one which cost me £5 new from the local market & its just as good as branded
