Coming up to my 3rd year of ownership and have never regretted going down the corsa route but i feel its time i say goodbye to the baby vaux, has been an awesome car, never had a single problem with it
I may get slated but im hoping to be getting a nearly new, ahem, saxo vtr Before i have any "omg why? its a saxo" comments, heres my reasons
1. I want a quicker car
2. my car is eight years old, want something newer
3. quite reasonable insurance
4. all i can afford really
5. i actually quite like them
so there it is, my cars up for sale, looking for £3K including everything except neons and steering wheel, if anyones interested please u2u me or leave a post in here, all details are in the classifieds if you want more details,
cheers, jamie

That was one of the probs, always something else to do to be honest it was starting to burn a hole in my pocket, i managed to spend close enough to £4500 and its still not finished, would love to keep it as my project car but being a student with just a part-time job really limits me
11 years do you getmany probs with it? i didnt want to start paying out on mine cos of the age, thing is ive never had a single thing wrong with it, only things ive changed are cam belt, battery and new brakes all round, great car will be dearly missed

I find the pedals too close in saxo's and 106's. but as a std car they are better to drive.
I don't find age a problem, my '91 passat estate has only ever had tyres and brake pads (bar oil, filters etc...)
P.S Nova's are the way forwards

dont see why they wouldnt let you take it out. you should always take someone with you tho for a second opinion. this person should know a biit about cars tho, i.e. not your misses etc!

modified cars are generally worth fcuk all these days, so if you can find someone to part ex it for a good deal, bite their hand off. test driving a saxo at a dealers is a very good idea

Exactly mate, the guy im getting it off bought the car then had a loan to kit it alloys etc, so he needs a car plus some cash to pay the loan off, which equals a good deal if you ask me, cant wait for a test drive now!!!
one thing i wont miss is 45bhp

VTR is about double that, tbh the saxo is a very good drivers car, by reputation, i think you'll like it.
once youve had french youll never go back (until it breaks down anyway)
