I'm posting this in GC as its gona be read more than the others...

I have a Kenwood KRC-778R headunit, had it for some time, but I've lost the mask-key

So whenever I turn the HU on, I get TRANSMIT 1 displayed, which is when I usuallly press the fob & it then activates the stereo, but as I can't find it (we moved) I'm fooked

I can't afford a new headunit, plus it means I can't use the 10 disc changer either...

Halfords say its gona cost £80 to get a new mask-key

Anyone know where I can get it done cheaper?? ALOT cheaper??

i lost mine, had to pay £100 from halfords to get one!! looks like u have no other choice! i tried looking everywhere!! its that or get a cheap second hand head unit!!

not a chance getting ti done on the cheap mate!!!! u need to send the radio to kenwood to get it decoded and a new key coded to it
