Ive got a TV moulded into my dash and though it would b a cool idea 2 take off the rear view mirror and mount a small camera on the roof pointing out the back window, which will appear on the TV. How wouldi b able 2 do this and where would i getthe camera from?

You can do it yourself. It is easy! You need to buy a small camera that allows you to swap its output to a mirrored view - they come from maplin for about £20, they are pretty good quality too. Then you need to make some kind of signal switch, or you can buy one. This will let you swich the signal on your screen from DVD or whatever you use to the camera. Then just wire it all in. Done

Forgot to mention, you need to mound the camera to the roof using some wood and probably a bit of Dynamat so it is pointing out the rear window. This stops it vibrating, and keeps it out of the way...

bad point is if u do this u will have to have a auto switch that cuts in so that only the rear view camera image can be shown on screen while engine turned on as no rear veiw mirror otherwise, but dnt know who would really check this unless mot guys do
