Been reading about these and see a few of you are having trouble getting hold of cobra148 so just wondered if any one has pics before i try get hold of him!

I have dude, to be honest i have soldered in like 6+ LEDS and they aint gettin the spread i want

see what you mean though they are not spreading across the centre control of the heaters

The MFD has 2 Rainbow LED's in, these change colour, they fade in and out of a mixture of, white, blue, green, pink, purples loads of colours, my speedo and rev counter etc does the same, think the solution to my heater consol problem might be either more leds, or scuff up the surface to spread the light as LED are a direct light source

LED's have plastic lenses, they usually focus their beam at a set angle, if you get some wet and dry sand paper and lightly sand the surface it dulls it, this causes the light from the LED to refract and reflect off its own surface so it spreads its light better

could you just replace them with leds from maplin? what size would be needed?

If there plug and play il take the red ones off ya but i cant be arsed wiring them up as me and wires don't mix
