Right, tomorrow i have an advanced driving test. This is conducted by traffic police + other such high up coppers.
The HUGE problem i have is, that my car tax ran out at the end of september.
Does the law still permit a few days "grace"?? I have been at uni, and the renewal form was sent to my house, therefore i could not tax the car!
Do u think the cops/examiner will allow this? seeing as it will only be 3 days over? And i shall be renewin on monday morn.
cheers
Matt
PS: please only state facts on this!! I have searched high and low on the net, and cannot find a definative answer!!

Tax is not a arestablue offence
they can only advice u to get it and tell the DVLA your using the car without TAX meaning a £50 fine

i beleive that you are not legally allowed to have out of date tax disc but its up to the discretion of the cops to let you off

when you do get around to buying the new disc, it's taken from the start of the month anyway, so it'd not like your scamming a few days tax free road use from anyone.

THe police wont car if you dont have valid tax anymore, the DVLA have their own agancy who now chase and prosecute those who dont tax the car.
