mate has an audi A3 which he's just put some 18's on. standard suspension at the mo, so obviously it's a bit of a sky bus.
he's seen some S3 shocks that he wants to fit, but i wasn't sure if the rear suspension would be totally different between the two models as the S3 is 4wd.
he's probably better of just getting some eibach springs for the A3, but would the S3 suspension go on?

oh, and does anyone know of a better place to ask this question? don't know if there's any audi forums.

www.audi-sport.net

afaik they dont fit, just get some H&R lowering springs, cheap enough still offer a good ride quality, dont lower more than 50mm though without changing the front anti roll bar, if you dont change and lower too much driveshaft hits the roll bar

i had 18" wheels lowered 50mm on H&R springs, standard shocks, the ride was actually very good so id deffo recommend that. Im now down on coilovers on 19's though, so i cant remember what a good ride was in the audi

cool. cheers for the info.

are there shock differences throughout the a3 range at all?
he has a pikey base model 1.6 i think, so dunno if they have worse struts compared to a 1.8t or something?

i'll pass it on though, cheers.
