I am thinking of getting a tv for the car, was just wondering where i stand wiv controlling it, do i need an av output from my stereo? I have a alpine stereo thinks its 7874rb or summat like that, just wondering hoiw i get the sound coming out through the speakers in the car??

You need an AV input, not output Normall called and Aux in.... Or you should use an FM modulator so that you plug the output from the screen into the head unit via the ariel wire... You then set on the FM modulator which frequencey you want it to broadcast at, and then tune this into the headunit and your done

Your head unit might not support using the Aux in though as it is probably designed to work with a CD multichanger. You'll have to look into how all the stuff works - you might be able to get a signal wire to run into the head unit to trick it into thinking a multichanger is attatched. Best speak to an ICE specialist - i.e. the guy you buy the screen off

If you can't do it, use an FM modulator, they don't loose any quality and are cheap and simple. You can get them from Maplin I think.

with my alpine headunit you can buy an adaptor that plugs into the cd multichanger socket so you can connect a pair of phono leads (red and white), search google for 'alpine m-bus v-link'
