tut tut tut
a 1.0l is a 1.0l why bother trying to obtain decent BHP you will be wasting your money...buy a decent car which actually goes...thats why they invented bigger engines...

the amount you would pay for a uprating a 1.0l you might aswell get a bigger engined car. The money saved could be put towards the insurance

I have to disagree, a tuned 1.0L will beat a 1.4 sport.... the weight of them is fuck all.... Dans J100 will beat sxi's and thats only slightly tuned.... I remember a couple of years back there was a website that had 1.2 8v running 120+ bhp they would smoke the ass of a GSi, still a group 1 - 2, still very economical.......
A valver conversion uses shit loads of fuel..... £25 i used doing 130 mile and its like yeh 600 for a valver then add another 500 for a decent break setup, another 500 for a decent suspension set up, then they are not supposed to be there in the first place so there is gonna be loads of problems....
I say if you wanna tune a 1L or 1.2L then go for it, be different

but why tune up a hair dryer to 90 bhp when u could just get a sport in the first place which has better brakes and suspention already ??
