Hi to all... Only in this days I have find this forum and the MIGweb forum...
I think that this forums are very good!!!
I have a corsa B GSi and I love my car

But now it's time to change the rear drums and @ opel the ask me 200€ only for the drums...
Now i have thinked to exchange the drums with disks with a mtech kit (maintaining the abs).

My question is:
If I fit the rear brakes from an astra (or vectra) and also the front calipers/disks(256*24 instead of mine 256*20), the brake bias need to be corrected?
Thanks to all!

Ok, my car have a load dependant valve....
How i can regulate the bias?

Ps: I use the 256 disk because in italy is very difficult (and very expensive for my budget) get the authorization for bigger wheels...

OK!
This week I phone to some scrappy, and after i have the complete braking system of a astra/vectra i call mtec for the order...

One last thing...
I have readed that the corsa handbrake cable is too long...
In the mtech kit there is also the shorter cable (I think of a nova)???

Thanks to all!!!

u will need the main standard corsa cable and a 1987 short nova cable... The bias may need adjusted if the car is lowered... just release the tension on the spring at the bias valve...

Ok... I add this cable to the "buying list"

I have already done on time the process to relieve the tension on the spring, because my rear drums locks the wheel, but i think that the valve is damaged... I think that at the rear brake conversion mount a new one...
With the work of the rear disk and front disk I've in mind to replace the flexible hoses (with aereo ones) and master braking unit, to have a 'like new' system...
But the rigid hoses need modifications? Or the standard of the corsa works well?

Very thank for the patience...

No need to use the rigid (braided) hoses, the origional ones will be fine... just make up the break lines to the rear calipers with copper break pipe
