The nylon ring between the two springs is an anti-squeak plate. It's only there to stop chatter.

defiantly the same helpers as in the pic and came from BAT just the same. I'm thinking i need to mod the double adapter set ride height and get alignment done.
Springs are just sat on one another but i dont think this is making any difference

i see you r point here but the helper spring compresses fully and becomes just like a spacer the coils are flat if you know what i mean.
But you are prob right but i stated at the start of the post i was not using the double adapter

i actually didnt see that erm.. i'm thinking mechanicaly.... maybe i'm wrong.... but i really think they are needed to keep the springs from moving around....
if you take the helper out altogether the spring platform slots straight into the coil spring to stop it moving around.... without the adapter theres nothing to stop them.....

^ exactly and as I said in my post above unless you have large body diameter dampers then i'd always fit the double adaptor ring. My coilover damper bodies are very large diameter - like about 2" I think so if I didnt fit a double adaptor with helpers the springs CANT move around much really...
