erm....... would not putting the little plastic plug that you take out of the gearbox when yer setting the linkage..... cause gearbox oil to pi*s out al over the place

i don't think it's a direct route to the oil.
more just of an access passage to the moving part of the linkage so that you can lock it off in position.

oil would piss outta it and also technically you should use a new plug every time you disturb it

you on about the plug on top of the gearbox? Is it the spring loaded plug? If you took that out to do the linkage your a knob lol, you just move the selector left and right while pushing the plug and it will hold it in the 1/2 plane

you're supposed to remove the plastic bung and insert a rod or drill bit to lock it off.
it's also right at the top and only 5mm wide, so even if you were on a rally stage i doubt anything would 'piss out'

Yes it will piss everywhere because in the gearbox the gears cause it to spray everywhere, it relys on splash lubrication, so it gets every where.

nah different plug thn your thinkin of..
actully i'm quite glad its only that, that has has my bulkhead and erm.... lower suspension arm drenched....
it has a nice new one in there now......
fs u try and remember all this stuff when yer doing a converion on yer own
