Looking at fitting my new 17s this week.
The offset is 45 and i know 49 is the best but heard these should be ok, but after reading a few threads on hear i heard that i may have some problems with scrubage and may have to mess with the arches.
Was looking at dropping it 60 to but will this be ok.
Thanks

Will need to de-bolt. Maybe cut some metal away for that kind of drop. Search.

Actually man, ET45 is perfect, if ya have ET49 the inner wheels will rub on the suspension struts, i had 17's with ET45, just debolt the rear arches get rid of the lip on the arch and you can go 60mm, mine was lowered 60mm it was more like 70mm and it never scrubbed, not even with passengers

go for 6.5's, ive got 16's on a 60mm slam and if the wheels were a littly less wide it would have saved me arch work

mine used to scrub like sh*t even when i put the fk's on, on 195/45/16 untill i added some extra bumpstop.....

Adi.... i got the tracking and camber done professionally on the front of the car over the weekend and its handling great in most circustances..... but i took the fourth exit off this massive roundabout on saturday night and it was rolling a bit mosre than i'd like.... but it was a massive roundabout and i was up the arse of a VTS at the time.... although he didnt appear to be doing as much work as i was......

ah the bumpstops were one of my bodge jobs......

take the cover off the top of the rear shock cut one of yer standard bumpstops in half and stick it over the the shock and then stick the cover back on..... no rubbing now.....

i know were theres a rear ARB i'll pick it up at the week end.

are they hard to fit?

Do thefk rear shocks not have a bumpstop at all??

the bumpstops on the rear on the fk's are part of the actual cover so ya cant replace them unfortunatly... so i just add a bit to them.

The GSI i got my engine out i'm sure will have a Rear ARB and if not theres a 5 door corsa parled next to it in a field so hopefully one of them will have one....

were did u get the whiteline one from?

no standard corsas came with rear anti roll bars, its completely different to the std stabilizer bar.

The only company that makes real rear arb's is whiteline to my knowledge, and the only importer of them to uk is demo tweeks.

corsas dont have arb's, the stabilizer bar runs through the midle of the 'axle' and does bugger all.

Mine is like a front bar and it works. The whiteline one comes with all needed brackets and polybushs etc.. and really does make a difference.

I would take a picture but cant find any batteries that arent flat!
