To be honest I think you will struggle to get anything that resembles power out of that engine. Best bet, sell it and get a quicker car or get used to being behind

to be honest, your not gonna do much surprising at the traffic lights with a 1.2, even with 1.5k spent on it

id just get a nice set of wheels, lower it, exhaust and be happy with it for a few years then look at getting something bigger!

There are thngs you can do but to be honest they are just lil things and give no real performance gains if you want more power tho go along the lines of,

Superchip, full system exhaust, sealed unit air filter, lower it springs and shocks or coilovers if your serious (for handling).

You wont be turning any real heads as a 1.6 16v anything will probably piss on you but it will feel nice and powerful compared to standard.

Get a Dbilas intake manifold. around £800 will add 23PS to your engine!!!
if you get exhaust system, airfilter (replacement panel) and chip taking it to around the power of a 1.6 16V

all easily done for under 1.5G

If it's a strong engine you could run 50bhp of N20 and that would give a bit more fun at the lights. You would need to uprate the clutch also.

It'll be fine so long as it's set up right.
