Naa i remember the good old days of 56k and feel sorry for people with it. Even small downloads use too much bandwidth. Its only of novelty value anyway. This forum is one of the best to look at because of not allowing people to have stupid sigs.

Gif's don't use up memorey though - memory is used for processing data like the database querys e.t.c...

well maybe they should have a selection in your profile to say if you want 56k mode or broadband mode, where all pictures are shown as links on 56k mode yet us folk who are lucky enough to have a fast connection can have all the mod cons as we wish. i understand that bandwidth may still be a problem but i doubt it would be that noticable.

I have broadband here. I know how frustrating it is not being able to get it though. I also totally agree with Joff on the gifs bein gay though. Nearly as gay as blue font
