Had the best day ever today. Ive been working for the high court as a Bailiff for around a year now. Today was my first ever day on the 'auctioneers van' run on my own i.e no backup! Funny as fcuk - got my warrants this morning and set off down to Lichfield on the way to Birmingham for this job at a skip hire place.

No one had ever met the guy so we didnt know what he was like, but I was told he had to pay today or we were going to take all his stuff! Got there and he's not in but his missus is, to cut a long story short she locked me out the house and her bloody son had locked us in their yard by locking the big gates when I wasnt looking! So we were stuck - the missus then said that her hubby was on his way to 'sort us out' with his mates...

So im beginning to wonder if the guys a nutter and comming to deck me? So I phoned the police to ask for a couple of officers to just come and assist to make sure I stayed in one piece whilst I did my thing...

2 MINS later I got 6 bloody cop cars on blue and two's rolling up, 2 mins after that hubby arrives and wonders what the fuck is going on. I mean 6 cars - WTF! When I work in Nottingham im lucky to get one car within an hour...

Lets just say the guy was as calm as but if i'd of been on my own god knows how i'd have ended up. First day over it was funny!

Ive never managed to find anyone hiding in a wheelie bin but I have seen a very drunk defendant hiding under the table in her posh ladies frock shop with a bottle of scotch - that was @ Bullring Birmingham LOL.

Tell ya best job in the world - no two days are ever the same and you have some stories to tell!

LOL ^ Trust me its bad enough around Aston, Birmingham! I go to soo many places from Farms that wreak of shite where I have to 'list' all the bloody pigs, cows etc to pubs, clubs, big factories, Tesco (yes tesco) and the best yet was a police station that decided to kit its station out in IKEA gear but not pay - they ended up with a high court warrant being issued and we went around listing the police cars and would have to take them if they didnt pay...

Also have to remove gypsies, squatters and tree protesters - bonus!

Godda admit though it was a nice looking station with its Scandinavian Birch wood tables and reception area...

You know youve got a great job when the police come out and work for you...

Sounds like agood job. People should not turn nasty because your only doing your job. If they paid on time they should not recive a visit from you.

Its plenty, all depends on how many calls/visits I do. I have 4 jobs which are all Bailiff/debt recovery related - I work about 3 days a week for approx £20K a year.

No at the end of the day I get paid for my visits - doesnt really matter if they pay or not but if I have to go with the auctioneers van then I get more. Also get fractionally more if I manage to perform a 'levy' which is where I have to write down all the house contents etc...

£20K is an estimate really, its prob slightly less around £18 - £19K but as I call it, its 'pornstar' wage

At least if you get stopped, you can threaten to come back later and take their police cars away

Haha, actually I try not to mention it. I did try it once, got pulled over and they asked what I worked as and I said Bailiff for the high court then looked at me car and thaught . Its embarissing tbh, a High Court enforcement officer driving around in a modified blue corsa...

I'd NEVER use it for work - imagine me in me suite rolling up at a warrant address....

Bruuuum. He approaches the warrant address peering through his midnight window tints with bass pumping. With one flick of the wrist he unclips his sabelt 4 point harness. The door opens, out he clambers from the Cobra Suzuka bucket seat, shuts the door behind before tweaking his tie. Chirp chirp of the Clifford alarm..... SUPER BAILIFF has arrived!!
