If the ecu light doesn't come on I shouldn't worry too much.
Hows it broken? You should be able to get one from any scrap yard if you have a look around.
I might have one I'll send up to you for a tenner, if I have one.

They're always popping up on ebay, or like miles said - check out a scrappy.

Where is the fuel tank vent valve? I think mine is knackered too because it takes about 5mins to fill the car up. Ive seen people arrive, put £40 in their cars, pay and drive off before I've finished getting to £30 [ ]

It wont be that Jon, its an valve inside the engine bay, on the inlet manifold I think, that vents the fuel vapours into the engine.
