Black screen used to be a Scart issue.

I sold a NES on eBay a couple of weeks ago - hadn't been used for about 10 years, booted it up, games on in a second played it for a bit, got bored, packed it and stuck it on auction.

I have a SNES and its colour for me

Not too sure what could be wrong there mate. My SNES doesnt require a scart. Just a lead that goes into the aerial slot. Tried all the channels on your TV etc.... AV channels and what not.

My Megadrive does it, quick blow of the cartridge, quick blow inside the slot, and it's sorted.
